Bio:
My name is Axel Alvarez, I have been involved with aviation since I was a
kid. I soloed at the age of 16, earned my Private certificate at 17, Instrument certificate at 18 and Commercial certificate at 19. I then earned an
Aerospace Engineering degree from the University of Tennessee. Once I
graduated from college, I moved to California and obtained a job performing
flight test on high performance airplanes and helicopters. That job provided
the opportunity to apply to United States Naval Test Pilot School. I was
accepted and graduated the following year. I am currently building a modified
RV-4 and own a flying RV-4.
Our Location:
-We are
located on the Inyokern, CA airport (IYK). Our
Hangar number is 12. However, we can travel to different locations
in order to provide our
services.

-Runway 20 is the only runway with non-standard traffic (right
pattern).

-R-2506 is closed on the weekends. During the week contact
Joshua on 133.65 for clearance.
-When you are in the pattern, stay West of Highway 395 and out of
the red are shown on the map below. The red area is the Naval Military Base.
-To arrive at my hangar, taxi as if you were going to runway 33 for
departure. Cross the hold-short line and turn left (South-East) on the taxi
way.
Follow that up-hill to the first row of hangars. The
hangar is marked by a red circle on the map shown below.
